DSM agrees to 2% pay rise

Thursday 28 January 2010

DSM, pay rise

Chemicals concern DSM and trade unions have reached agreement on a 2% pay rise from February 1 for its 7,000 workers, reports Nos on Thursday.

DSM has also promised that it will not scrap jobs this year without agreement from the unions. The loss of 350 jobs which the company had already announced will go ahead, according to Nos.

Earlier this week around a thousand DSM workers staged a protest meeting at the gates of the company’s factory in Geleen to put pressure on the management for a pay rise.
