Police officers in Amsterdam drew their weapons 87 times last year and fired their guns on four occasions, the Parool reports on Tuesday.

Amsterdam has 4,000 police officers who carry weapons, the paper said.

On average, a police officer in the capital will draw their weapon once in 40 years, a force spokesman told the paper.

You are lucky, most cops here in the States act like cowboys, any excuse will bring the SWAT team out.

If only the Nigerian police could be retrained by the Dutch police! This is responsible policing at its best. One cannot but be impressed.
