Gordon quits the Toppers singing trio

Singer and tv presentor Gordon has left the popular singing trio De Toppers, saying he doubted he could fulfil the group's creative needs.
The Toppers, made up of Gordon, René Froger and Jeroen van der Boom, represented the Netherlands somewhat unsuccessfully at the last Eurovision Song Contest but sell out Dutch stadiums regularily.
Last year Van der Boom replaced Gerard Joling who quit after a series of arguments with Gordon.
'I have been part of the Toppers for years with an unbelievable amount of pleasure,' the singer told the Telegraaf.
