Sunday phone call angers Christian MPs

Wednesday 04 February 2009

The two orthodox Christian parties ChristenUnie and SGP are cross with finance minister Wouter Bos because he rang them on Sunday January 25 to say he was guaranteeing ING loans to the value of €22bn, several newspapers report on Wednesday.

Neither of the Christian parties was pleased to be rung on a Sunday, say the papers. They did not consider the ING affair a matter of national importance and said their Sunday rest should not have been disturbed.
