Newspaper group PCM, which publishes the Volkskrant, NRC and Trouw, is to cut 5% of its workforce of 2,600.


PCM has debts of €150m following its three-year takeover by British private equity firm Apax and has been hit by the downturn in newspaper advertising.
PCM is also in talks with Belgium’s Persgroup about the sale of the AD Nieuwsmedia group.
