Monday 08 December 2008
Newspaper group PCM, which owns the Volkskrant and NRC, is investigating the sale of its AD Nieuwsmedia joint venture to Belgium's De Persgroep.
AD Nieuwsmedia owns the AD and a number of regional papers and is co-owned by PCM and the Wegener publishing group.
De Persgroep already owns Amsterdam's Parool newspaper and the Q Music radio station. In a statement, PCM said it hoped the talks would be finalised by the end of the year.
