Teachers are oldest workers

The oldest workers in the Netherlands are to be found in the teaching profession where the average age in 2007 was 43.4 years, says national statistics office CBS.

Civil servants came second with an average age of 42.1 years. The average for the overall labour force is 39.8 years.
