Unemployment hits six-year low

The number of unemployed people fell to under 300,000 for the first time since 2002 in the June to August period, reports the national statistics office CBS on Thursday.

Corrected for seasonal influences, some 3.9% of the working population was officially without work, compared with 4.4% a year earlier, says the CBS.
