Philips stops monitor production

Dutch electronics giant Philips announced on Tuesday that it will stop manufacturing computer monitors.

It has signed a licencing agreement with TPV Technology in Hong-Kong which will produce monitors for the global market under the Philips brand name.

Philips already has a similar agreement with the Japanese company Funai for the production of televisions for the American market.
