Oldest man in Holland dies at 106

The oldest man in the Netherlands, Adrianus van der Vaart, has died at the age of 106, reports ANP news service on Tuesday.
Van der Vaart lived independently in his home town of Wilnis in the province of Utrecht up to his death, a spokesman for the local council told ANP.
The oldest woman in the country is Grietje Jansen-Anker who lives in Middelburg and is due to celebrate her 111th birthday on September 12.
