More delays, costs for Amsterdam metro

Amsterdam's north-south metro line will not be completed until 2015, four years later than planned, while its cost has soared by almost 50% to over €2bn, the city council said on Thursday.

The delays are due to 'unexpected technical problems' and the overspend to 'additional security costs', the council said.
