10% more new homes completed

The number of new homes completed by the construction sector last year rose 10% to 80,000, according to the latest figures from the national statistics office CBS.

By the end of 2007, the Netherlands had just over seven million dwellings. Some 38% of the new homes was an apartment, an increase of 21% on the previous year.
