Man wants compensation for cow attack
Friday 15 February 2008
A 59-year-old man from Schinveld is claiming damages from the Dutch natural heritage association after being attacked by a Highland cow while walking his dog in woods near his home.
Hugo van Leusen says he was charged twice by the bull which came at him out of nowhere and dragged him along the ground by its horns.
Highland cows are used on many Dutch nature reserves to keep down grass and other plants.
