Belgian to head Yugoslavia Tribunal

The UN has nominated the Belgian Serge Brammertz to succeed Carla del Ponte as chief prosecutor at the Yugoslavia Tribunal in The Hague.

Brammertz is currently heading the UN investigation into the murder of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri in 2005.
