Madonna bomb hoax vicar sentenced
A 63-year-old reformed church minister has been sentenced to 150 hours community service for making a hoax bomb phone call during last year’s concerts in Amsterdam by Madonna.
The minister, Willem Groenenboom, phoned the police saying five cluster bombs were set to go off in the Arena stadium where Madonna was performing. Groeneboom objected to Madonna’s ‘blasphemous’ mock crucifixion.
