Pay rises so far around 3%, says FNV

Unions affiliated to the FNV federation have managed to win pay rises in the region of 3% in most of the pay deals agreed so far. Some 81 pay and conditions agreements (caos) out of a total 443 have been finalised already this year.

Pay deal coordinator Wilna Wind said the current discussion about top peoples’ pay was also having a beneficial effect on getting higher increases and one-off bonuses.

But efforts to win more employer backing for education and training were not bearing fruit, she said. So far, only 13 pay deals include new measures to boost training.
