TNT has best financial website

Post group TNT has the best financial website of all the companies listed on the Dutch stock exchange for the third year running, according to the annual Henri Sijthoff Prize rankings organised by Financieele Dagblad.

TNT scored high in terms of up-to-date information, multimedia elements and personalisation. The websites of ABN Amro bank and chemical company DSM came in at second and third place respectively while the lowest AEX-listed firms on the list was navigational systems maker Tom Tom (number 44), food-to-detergents manufacturer Unilever (39) ands publisher Reed Elsevier (31).
Electronics giant Philips – which won the Sijthoff Prize for best 2005 annual report – came in at number 16 when it came to its financial website. The Sijthoff research also revealed that only 11% of the 50 companies that took part in its survey give priority to the publication of annual reports on paper as opposed to digitally.
The Sijthoff study also concluded that the websites of the 23 AEX-listed companies score higher than the sites of the 20 firms listed on the American Dow Jones index in areas such as company profile, historical data and interactivity.
