Eindhoven street preacher fined for noise

Eindhoven street preacher Arnol Kox will be fined €150 if he continues to cause an ‘unnecessary noise nuisance,’ the Den Bosch appeal court ruled on Thursday.

Kox, nicknamed ‘shouting Jesus’, preaches his message in a busy shopping street, usually opposite the V&D department store, reports the Volkskrant.
The fine, imposed by a lower court, has been suspended because Kox has now agreed to preach for no more than 20 minutes in the same place, the paper says. Kos refused to pay the earlier fine, citing freedom of religion.
He faces another court appearance next month for feeding the local pigeons.
