Excelsior 0 v 2 PEC Zwolle: Zwolle move on up after away win

Second half goals from Queensy Menig and Django Warmerdam moved PEC off the foot of the table and up to 13th in the Eredivisie standings.

Excelsior pushed the visitors back in the opening half but Ryan Koolwijk and Stanley Elbers failed to find the target for the hosts.

PEC opened the scoring on 48 minutes when Menig beat Excelsior keeper Tom Muyters with a pinpoint effort.

Warmerdam sealed the victory with an 88th minute strike and in turn gave Zwolle a 150th win in the Eredivisie.

PSV Eindhoven 1 v 0 Sparta Rotterdam: Ramselaar downs brave Spartans

A 77th minute Bart Ramselaar goal gave the reigning champions a much needed victory in Eindhoven.

PSV, without a home win in three previous games, were pushed back in the opening stages as Thomas Verhaar, Stijn Spierings and Craig Goodwin all tested stand in goalkeeper Remko Pasveer.

The hosts began to take control in the latter stages of the first period but found Sparta keeper Roy Kortsmit in outstanding form.

Kortsmit made 13 saves as PSV pushed for a second half opening, however the Sparta number one was left helpless as Ramselaar lifted the ball over the keeper on 77 minutes.

Go Ahead Eagles 0 v 2 Twente: Manchester City loanees fire Twente to victory

Twente moved into the top six of the Eredivisie as Manchester City youngsters Yaw Yeboah and Bersant Celina both scored in Deventer.

The visitors were the stronger team throughout and Go Ahead had keeper Theo Zwarthoed to thank as the stopper denied Celina, Yeboah and another Manchester City loanee Enes Unal.

But Zwarthoed was finally beaten on 44 minutes as Unal set up Yeboah to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Twente pushed for a second goal after the break with Celina denied for a second time by the upright, before the Manchester City player finally sealed the win with an 89th minute strike.

Roda JC 1 v 1 ADO Den Haag: Late Paulissen free kick earns point for Roda

ADO were minutes away from an away day victory in Kerkrade but Mitchel Paulissen fired home a stunning 87th minute free kick to claim a share of the spoils for Roda.

The hosts started brightly but failed to take advantage as ADO keeper Ernestas Setkus twice denied Daniel De Silva.

ADO striker Mike Havenaar twice came close to breaking the deadlock before Edouard Duplan volleyed the visitors in front on 37 minutes.

In the second period both Havenaar, again denied by Setkus, and Danny Bakker who somehow fluffed his lines from two yards out, failed to wrap the game up for the visitors.

And ADO were made to pay with three minutes on the clock as Paulissen fired home a free kick to move Roda off the bottom of the table.

Willem II 0 v 1 Utrecht: Ten man Willem II downed in injury time

Willem II played more than an hour with ten men after Fran Sol saw red for kicking out at Nacer Barazite.

However, the home side held Utrecht at bay until striker Sebastian Haller, taking advantage of a poor back header

from Darryl Lachman, clipped the ball over keeper Kostas Lamprou before heading home in the 92nd minute.

NEC Nijmegen 1 v 1 Vitesse Arnhem: Gelderse derby ends all square

Ex-NEC player Navarone Foor came back to haunt his old club but a late Dario Dumic rescued a point for the home side.

Both teams gave no quarter in a typical derby and while NEC made the best chances it was Foor who gave the visitors the lead on his return to Nijmegen.

The second half was interrupted when referee Pol van Boekel took both teams off the pitch after plastic glasses rained down on Vitesse midfielder Lewis Baker as he attempted to take a corner.

NEC grabbed the initiative after play had resumed and Dumic connected with an 88th minute cross to bring the sides level and earn a point for the hosts.

Groningen 2 v 0 AZ Alkmaar: Groningen jump five places with comfortable victory

The home side began the day at the foot of the table but thanks to first half goals from Bryan Linssen and Tom van Weert Groningen jumped five places to thirteenth in the Eredivisie table.

AZ keeper Sergio Rochet could only parry an 18th minute Linssen volley in off the post, and it was a Linssen cross that Van Weert headed home powerfully from 12 yards in first half injury time.

A Guus Til effort, turned away by Groningen keeper Sergio Padt was all a disappointing AZ could muster.

Former Feyenoord and Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar was on hand to deny Van Weert after the break as Groningen held on comfortably for the much needed win.

Feyenoord 1 v 1 Ajax: Points shared in Dutch ‘Klassieker’

Feyenoord dropped the first points of the season as a late Dirk Kuijt diving header denied Ajax victory in Rotterdam.

Ajax held the hosts at arms length for most of the first half, but the league leaders should have gone into the break

ahead as firstly Bilal Basacikoglu, and then Eric Botteghin failed to convert glorious chances.

Feyenoord continued to dominate play in the second period but after Nicolai Jorgensen missed another chance for the hosts, young Danish striker Kasper Dolberg made no mistake to give Ajax the lead after 55 minutes.

Feyenoord boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst introduced both Michiel Kramer and Eljero Elia and the attacking substitutions paid dividends when an Elia cross was headed home by a diving Dirk Kuijt on 85 minutes.

Heerenveen 3 v 1 Heracles Almelo: High flying Frisians ease past Heracles

Heerenveen claimed a sixth win of the season at home to Heracles to consolidate third place in the Eredivisie table.

A 20th minute Stefano Marzo left footed curler gave Heerenveen the advantage, but only after Brandley Kuwas had missed a golden opportunity to give the visitors an unexpected lead.

Kuwas made amends on 40 minutes by squeezing a low shot past keeper Erwin Mulder at the near post to send the teams in level at the break.

However, the hosts restored the lead when Sam Larsson struck a sweet 66th minute shot beyond Bram Castro after good hold up play by Reza Ghoochannejhad.

And the points were sealed for Heerenveen on 77 minutes with a remarkable goal by promising defender Jerry St. Juste.

The young centre half, despite losing his right boot in the initial challenge, carried the ball from inside his own half before firing past Castro from the edge of the penalty area.
