doctor euros healthcare costHealthcare premiums are set to rise by an average €7 a month next year, the Telegraaf said on Saturday, quoting unnamed sources.

This will take the average cost of a basic policy to around €103 a month, the paper said. With healthcare benefits set to rise to €67 a month, people on low incomes will effectively pay €36 a month for basic coverage without dentistry.

The own-risk element will rise €10 to €385 next year.

The health ministry publishes its premium forecasts every September as part of the budget presentations. The actual rise is up to health insurers who publish their new prices from November.
