Amateurs scare PSV in KNVB Cup

PSV Eindhoven had a scare in their KNVB Cup match against amateur side Achilles '29 on Thursday night when they went 1-0 down in the early stages.

PSV went on to score three times in seven minutes to take a 3-1 advantage at half time. Achilles pulled one back in the 63rd minute and Georginio Wijnaldum later missed a penalty for PSV, giving a final score of 3-2.

In other KNVB Cup matches, Viktor Elm put away a hat-trick to give AZ Alkmaar a 4-1 win over Veendam.

Ajax, Feyenoord and Twente all had wins on Wednesday.
