Minimum wage for 15-year-olds rises four cents

The minimum wage for 15-year-olds doing holiday jobs will go up four cents this year to €2.52 per hour, the social affairs ministry has decided.

Young teenagers can take a holiday job from the age of 13, but there is no minimum wage for 13 and 14-year-olds.
Youngsters may work a maximum seven hours a day and no more than five days in a row. They are also barred from working with machinery and without adult supervision.
