AZ out of European football
A 4-0 home victory for Spanish side Valencia put AZ out of the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Alkmaar club won the first leg 2-1 but the Spaniards proved too strong in the return match and will now go on to the semi-finals.
AZ were the Netherlands’ last representatives in international football this season.
