A low-fat cheese named Vermeer and made by Dutch dairy combine FrieslandCampina has been named the world’s best cheese at an international competition in the US.

The World Champion Cheese Contest is held every two years in Madison and 2,500 cheeses were entered in this year’s contest.
The winning Dutch cheese has a ‘nice, smooth, clean flavor. It had nice body and mouth-feel. A very clean taste,’ one of the judges told news agency AP.
