Parliament does not want confidential information

Parliament has turned down the cabinet’s offer of a weekly report of confidential information on the Greece bail-out, NOS reports.

Finance minister Jan Kees de Jager made the offer on Monday following confusion during last week’s debate on the subject and the announcement of the Finnish deal for a secured loan.
Parliament would prefer to receive information it can use in debates, said Dezentjé Hamming, chair of the parliamentary finance committee.
