Fans raise €20m for Feyenoord

Feyenoord fans have so far raised over €20m to support the financially troubled Rotterdam football club, the AD reports on Tuesday.

The group has a target of €30m and will get 49% of the club’s shares if that is reached, the AD says.
The ‘Friends of Feyenoord’ investors, under the leadership of millionaire Pim Blokland, will also get two seats on the club’s supervisory board.
Feyenoord, which finished mid-league this season, is one of a number of clubs under football association supervision because of its precarious financial state.
