Mark van Bommel new Oranje captain
Mark van Bommel is the new captain of the Dutch football squad, replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst who hung up his boots after the World Cup.
Oranje coach Bert van Marwijk said the choice for the Bayern Munich midfielder and captain was unanimous. Van Bommel is also Van Marwijk’s son in law.
