Colombia asks for Dutch Farc guerilla Tanja's dental records

The Colombian authorities have asked the Netherlands to provide finger prints and dental records for Tanja Nijmeijer, the Twente student who joined the Farc rebel movement in 2002, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.
The paper says one of the guerrillas killed in a raid on a Farc camp last week remains unidentified and there are various reports that it could be Nijmeijer.
The foreign affairs ministry has confirmed the request has been made, the paper said.
Nijmeijer, who graduated in Spanish from Groningen University in 2002, was last heard of in 2007 when her diaries were found after government troops attacked a rebel camp. In the diaries, she was very critical of her life with the Farc movement.

For all the romance and adventure of living the life of a revolutionary... what a waste. That said, it's hard to have a whole lot of sympathy... she had spent enough time with them to know well about the FARC's drug business, the kidnappings, human misery and murdering and still she chose to be a part of it. WE should feel bad only for the parent;s loss.
