July was very warm and wet

July was warm, wet and sunny, with an average temperature of 19.8 Celsius, the KNMI weather bureau said on Friday.

And there were 11 days of over 30 Celsius in the south and southeast of the country, the KNMI said.

The average July temperature is 17.4 Celsius.

But there was also a lot of rain - 82 millimetres, or 12 millimetres more than in an average July. It was also very sunny with 250 hours of sunshine, compared with an average of 201 hours.
