Groceries in Holland in line with EU average

While meat and cigarettes are more expensive in the Netherlands than most other European countries, milk, cheese and eggs are cheaper here than the EU average, according to new EU statistics.
Groceries are most expensive in Denmark, at nearly 40% above the average. In the Netherlands, the prices are 10% below the EU average.
