Rumours of Shell LPG sale gather pace

Oil giant Shell is considering selling off a number of non-core activities, including its LPG distribution arm and North Sea gas fields, the Financial Times said on Monday.

The sale could generate as much as $3bn, the paper said, citing sources close to the negotiations.
In February, news agency Bloomberg quoted three sources as saying Shell has hired Credit Suisse Group to manage a sale of the LPG division, which is valued at more than €800m.
Shell is focusing more on exploration and production and sold off non-core activities valued at $1.2bn last year.
