Investment fund assets soar due to pensions
Tuesday 17 November 2009
The value of assets under the management of Dutch investment funds rose 40% in the third quarter of this year to €367bn, the central bank said on Tuesday.
The increase is not only due to the recovery on the financial markets but changes in pension fund portfolios.
For example, the country's two biggest pension funds ABP and PFZW shifted €97bn in direct investments into new funds set up for that purpose in the third quarter, the central bank said.
