More youngsters in trouble with cannabisTuesday 22 September 2009 Some 370 teenagers were admitted to addiction clinics because of problems with cannabis use over the past year, Nos tv reported on Monday evening. The news show bases its claims on its own research. Since 2002, the number of youngsters looking for help with cannabis problems has quadrupled and three new clinics are being built this year, Nos said. © DutchNews.nl
This is due to the illegality of cannabis. Another point on this, out of all the European countries the Netherlands still has the one of the lowest percentages of youth who try cannabis. that is from the UN drug report printed earlier this year. Legalise it and control it. Take the crime out of cannabis. By Mass | September 22, 2009 11:32 AM This does not make sense to me. I've been smoking cannabis for more than 10 years EVERY DAY, and another 15 less often, but when I decided I should stop it because of my studies, I did it with no problems. Why my story is not in your news? (I still smoke tobacco though... maybe I should visit a clinic for THIS addiction!) By alienboy | September 22, 2009 12:15 PM Cannabis is like coffee or sugar, it is (Habitually) addictive, but not physiologically addictive. I'm still waiting to read a truthful report about cannabis from any government, it has not happened yet! Dopamine is a drug used to treat Parkinson's disease, it is a synthetic version of cannabis. The pharmaceutical industry thrives on the fact that cannabis is banned. If it were not, many of their chemical drugs with many negative side effects would become obsolete, causing a large decline in sales and revenue. Anyone else agree? By stevie | September 22, 2009 12:26 PM "The news show bases its claims on its own research." Says it all. By Anonymous Coward | September 22, 2009 2:12 PM Legalising the sale of cannabis would help. At present, people have to grow in their lofts and then sell it to the shops. Why not legalise the wholesale of cannabis so that the supply chain is better controlled, and taxes are paid to the government coffers? By Idon'tSmoke | September 22, 2009 2:18 PM Reading the comments, makes me feel a little better....It means some people think and don't believe all of the anti-cannabis garbage. Lets all meet in the childrens library in Amsterdam for a beer.....yes they have a beer bar in the library. Where are all of the anti-drug zealots on that one. By alanposting | September 22, 2009 11:38 PM How many politicians are addicted to alcohol? Where is that study? By D Taylor | September 24, 2009 11:42 PM

And how many were treated for alcoholism, or committing an offence while drunk?
I am starting to get sick of the mindless propaganda on this web site.
