Volkskrant pays tribute to literary critic

The 50-year-old journalist and prize-winning literary critic Michaël Zeeman has died of a brain tumour at home in Rotterdam. The news is reported widely in the Dutch press on Tuesday.


Zeeman wrote about music, theatre, visual arts and cultural history for the Volkskrant since 1991 as well as publishing collections of poetry and short stories.
The Volkskrant pays tribute to the journalist on its front page saying Zeeman had been ‘invaluable’ to the paper.
