Thursday 18 June 2009

The town of Naarden near Hilversum is the best place in the Netherlands to live, according to the annual Dutch city ranking put together by news magazine Elsevier.

Second in the ranking is Amstelveen, with Heemstede south of Haarlem in third place.

Naarden scores well because of its historical buildings, the surround nature and employment prospects.

Bottom of the list is the town of Pekela in Groningen province.
