John Malkovich to produce Grunberg film

American actor John Malkovich is to produce a film of Arnon Grunberg's novel The Story of my Baldness, the Volkskrant reports on Monday.
The book, published in 2000 under the pseudonym Maredk van der Jagt, is the story of a young man's quest for 'l'amour fou' (passionate love).
The two have met several times to discuss possible collaborations, the paper says.
Malkovich was in the Netherlands to promote the documentary Bloody Mondays & Strawberry Pies which he voiced over.
