Free transport for Amsterdam pensioners
Wednesday 26 November 2008
Amsterdam pensioners will be able to use trams, buses and the metro free of charge for a three-month period from next March.
The city council is putting €2m into the project, which follows similar experiments in Rotterdam, Arnhem, Nijmegen and north Limburg.
In Rotterdam tickets for pensioners will disappear permanently from January 1.
