Add as a favourite source on Google Add DutchNews as a favourite source on GoogleTrade in the shares of the troubled financial services group Fortis were to be suspended on the Amsterdam and Brussels stock exchange on Monday morning, reports the Telegraaf.
Late on Sunday night it was announced that Fortis is shortly to be withdrawn from the stock market following its takeover (75%) by French banking concern BNP Paribas, the paper said.
On Friday evening the whole Dutch arm of Fortis was nationalised by the Dutch government.
