Thursday 10 April 2008
One in three children under the age of 12 have committed petty crimes, reports professor of youth criminology Peter van der Laan in Thursday's AD.
Around 130,000 children per year are involved in stealing and aggressive behaviour. According to Van der Laan, young delinquents have a tendency to continue their criminal behaviour as adolescents.
