Bijlmer station is building of the year

The new railway station at Amsterdam’s Bijlmer Arena has been chosen as building of the year by the Dutch architects association.
‘A modern classic’ is how the BNA describes the building by architects Jan van Belkum (Arcadis) and Neven Sidor (Grimshaw), praising its use of space, light and ‘unparalleled dynamism’. The building was chosen from 25 projects.
