'Queen should stay home on Sundays'

Queen Beatrix should respect Sunday as a day of rest, orthodox Christian party SGP leader Bas van der Vlies will say in an interview on tv channel Het Gesprek. The interview is due to be broadcast on Monday evening.

Van der Vlies will say this is not a new standpoint for his party, which has often called for politicians not to work on Sunday. 'And we make no exception for the queen,' not even if she is on a state visit abroad, a spokesman for the party told news agency ANP .
