Minister improves police pay offer

Home affairs minister Guusje ter Horst increased her pay offer to striking policemen on Tuesday afternoon to 6.25% over two years plus a €300 bonus across the board, news agency ANP reported.
Police have been involved in rolling strikes across the country in support of a better pay offer.
The NPB police union wants 3.3% a year and help with healthcare costs and better rates for irregular hours. The ACP union is calling for a €200 monthly increase across the board.
