Temping popular with over 45s

Wednesday 22 August 2007

Those over the age of 45 now account for 12% of the 730,000 people registered at Dutch temporary employment agencies, according to new statistics.

At the beginning of the 1990s, just 3% of temps were aged 45 or over, according to figures from the temp agency sector.

They also show that around one third of temps find a permanent job – around half of them are taken on by their temporary employer. Some 25% of temps now have a university or college degree.
