Hospital pays for contraception mistake

The IJsselland hospital in Capelle aan de IJssel has been ordered to pay towards the raising of twins, born after their mother had been told she had gone through early menopause and did not need to be sterilised, the Telegraaf said on Tuesday. .
The couple, who already have three children, are claiming €400,000. The twins are now 13.
The hospital later issued a statement saying the claim was between the woman and the doctor who treated her and that the hospital was not involved.
