TNT cooperates with job loss inquiry
Wednesday 16 May 2007
Post group TNT said on Wednesday it was cooperating with an independent inquiry into a reorganisation of its postal activities, which threatens up to 11,000 jobs. The inquiry was set up by the unions.
TNT is planning to cut 7,000 jobs, but said the number could be as high as 11,000 if workers do not agree to cuts in their working conditions and a pay freeze. The probe is being carried out by the Boston Consulting Group.
