Legal publishing boosts Wolters Kluwer
Earnings from its legal publishing arm boosted sales at Wolters Kluwer 4% to €847m in the first quarter of 2007. Net profit was up 23% at €94m.
The figures have been adjusted for the sale of the group’s educational publishing activities to investment group Bridgepoint Capital. Wolters Kluwer also said it had cut some 1,300 of the 1,800 jobs it had earlier announced were to go
