Book sales reach almost €1bn

Book sales in the Netherlands went up 6.4% last year to €967m, according to figures published by the Dutch booksellers' association. The most lucrative business was in text books where turnover rose 9.3% to €307m.
Despite the positive results, booksellers’ average profit was just 1.5% of turnover.
