House robberies increase, clear-up rate remains steady
The number of burglaries rose 2.6% in 2012 to 91,153 and the police clear-up rate remained steady at 9.2%, according to police website politie.nl.
Nearly one-third of burglaries were classified as ‘attempted’, says the site.
Although the police arrested 30% more suspected burglars than in 2010, the clear-up rate remained stable because of the increased number of burglaries.
