Dutch couple describe ‘Balkans’ man at Annecy shooting campsite

A Dutch couple have told how the family at the centre of last week’s Lake Annecy family shooting moved campsites unexpectedly and that a mystery man had been hanging round before they left.

‘We were told they planned to stay all week but they left suddenly,’ camper Jan Janssen is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. ‘The father left the site in his car alone four or five times each day. He went out for 20 or 30 minutes each time.’
In addition, the Dutch couple spoke of how a mystery man was seen hanging around the campsite before the Al-Hilli family checked out. They described him as a ‘man of eastern European appearance like someone from the Balkans’.
