Illegal ticket warning for Scotland match

The Dutch football association KNVB said on Monday it would do all it can to combat the illegal sale of tickets for Saturday’s football World Cup qualifier between the Netherlands and Scotland.

The match has been sold out for some time and the association says it is blocking hundreds of tickets which have been sold on to third parties and via unofficial ticket agencies.
Dutch supporters who have bought tickets and then sold them through to the black market face a fine of €450 and a stadium ban if caught, the KNVB’s Wilfred de Rooij told news agency ANP.
‘The problem is getting bigger,’ De Rooij said. ‘There is a huge shortage of tickets for the Scotland match.’
